On Thursday, September 7, 2000, the BeatORGANization had its very first concert at the Zoschkeller in Tucholskystrasse. It began with 15 songs - exclusively instrumentals by Booker T., Ramsey Lewis, Jimmy Smith, Steampacket and Mike Cotton. The first bassists were Peter David, Yari, Rudi Böhm and Gaby „Dr Rock“. The first drummers were Tommy Love and Pete. The Hammondorgel played Jojo Büld and Alex Czerny. On the guitars Nenad, Robert Terkhany and Marbert, as well as Olivier on piano. The Horns were played by Rollo, Kappi, Semjon and Christian. From now on, two new titles and the first singers came to the show every Thursday. Nik Terror, Mister Tom, Kevin, Kelly and Olivier. When, after a year in Zosch, the band became too tight, the band transported the beat to the Mudd club with a live move. New musicians emerged as Renier Hundsdorfer (bass), Swantje (vocals), Navina (vocals), Joni (guitar), Matthias (Sitar), Raineur (drums), Yann de Paris (vocals), Lars (Trumpet).
One year later the band went into the Zapata and shortly thereafter the own Thursday's BeatOrganization-Club was obtained. Also this time, new faces and old acquaintances emerged: Space (guitar), Sister Jack (vocals), Choral Chris (vocals), Abraham (vocals), Psychedalex (vocals), Ringo (ORGAN), FanThomas (Drums), Akki (Drums), Pierre (Guitar), Luc Le Duc, Peer (drums), Andy Sire (guitar, bass), Peretti (vocals), Lars Zander (Sax), Dormann (Sax), Nutty Schulz (bass), Valerio Caporali (vocals).
Later it went on to Maggie's Farm and the Bassy-Club. New titles, new faces and even bigger events, such as the meeting with Werner Krabbe from The Boots or Aziz of The Golden Hands, the gig with Michael Hauke, Danny Wall, Michael Fürnsinn from the Hounddogs and the first joint concert with Guitar Crusher and Big Jay McNeely. Also, there were performances as support act to other heroes such as The Sonics and The Pretty Things. Unforgettable - the extended nights with Sky Saxon from The Seeds, Chip Damiani from The Remains and the guys of GONN (when Garry Fork borrowed the Farfisa organ from the BeatORGANization).
During this time one learned a lot from that time and especially that this band is timeless...
Sincerely yours
Olivier
